The Armchair Zoologist is about getting involved with Nature through history and art as well as through Science and exploration. I am trying to combine my Victorian sense of wonder at nature's bounty with my 21st century conservation ethic. I like to mix an appreciation of the past with an awareness of what needs to be done now to preserve the future so I see this blog as an opportunity to enable you to enjoy nature and zoology from your armchair, while at the same time, giving you the tools to get out of the armchair and enjoy your natural environment, wherever you live.
Having graduated I am now pursuing one of my other interests, Natural History.
I like to see this blog as a library or club where like minded people can learn and discuss the natural world.
